Advent is the season comprised of the four weeks leading up to Christmas. In Latin, Advent means "coming" and represents the Israelites' season of waiting in anticipation for the coming of the Messiah. During the busyness of the holiday season, Advent reminds us to focus on Jesus as we prepare to celebrate his birthday on Christmas.
